Miguel Eduardo Cortes Vazquez and Itzel González (Class of '07-'08):

In this blog we present the activities of our educational centers located in Cd. Juárez, Mexico. Here each day boys and girls receive support for their learning process and development through play and the coming together of kids in the community. Together we create a space of multiple ZPDs where learning-leads-development. Furthermore at CASA Promoció Juvenil we are currently working hard at revolutionizing our work with public school teachers and parents from one of the city’s most marginalized areas.

En este blog damos a conocer las actividades de nuestros centros educativos en Cd. Juárez, México. En nuestros centros todos los días los y las niñas son apoyados en su aprendizaje y en su desarrollo por medio del juego y la convivencia creando un espacio de múltiples zonas de desarrollo próximo donde el aprendizaje empuja al desarrollo. Además en CASA Promoción Juvenil estamos haciendo un gran esfuerzo por revolucionar nuestro trabajo con maestras y maestros de escuelas públicas así como con las familias en una de las zonas más marginadas de nuestra ciudad.

Svetlana was recently featured in Is Peace Possible: Women Peace Makers in Action, the final report of the 2007 Summit, 5th Anniversary of the Women Peace Makers Program published by the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice at the University of San Diego. See pages 20 and 48.
