Performing the World '08 Register Today! Find out more ![]() Brazilian military police share a traditional folk dance at Performing the World 2007. The East Side Institute for
Group and Short Term Psychotherapy is an international training and research
center for new approaches to human development and community building.
Since the mid-1970s, we have worked to change psychology from a diagnostic,
evaluative (and often stigmatizing) social science into a positive and
creative force for the emotional, social and cultural development of all
people and their communities. As
a privately funded nonprofit organization, the Institute relies on contributions
from our friends and supporters to sponsor social therapy programs and to
train professionals around the world. For more information on giving
opportunities, click here.
